HOW THE GAME WORKS
Start Your Innings
The bowling player picks up five Bowling Cards and one Power Ball Card. They bowl their first ball by placing one of these on the ‘Ball Bowled’ box on the board. They move the Ball Playing Piece forward by the number shown on the Bowling Card.
The Batting player looks at where the Ball Playing Piece has landed and decides whether to Attack or Defend the ball. If they choose to Attack, they roll the Dice and the Bowling Player moves the Ball Playing Piece forward by the number rolled.
Attack or Defend?
Throughout an innings, batters must decide when to play aggressively and when to be patient.
Every decision carries an element of risk and reward. A defensive choice may protect your wicket, while an attacking shot could lead to valuable extra runs.
Taking risks can increase your scoring opportunities, but it also creates chances for the fielding side. Choosing the right approach at the right moment can make all the difference.
Play the Scenario
Wherever the Ball Playing Piece lands, a colour-coded Scenario Card determines what happens next.
Scenarios recreate many of the situations found in a real cricket match, from scoring opportunities to fielding chances and wicket-taking moments. After a few overs, the game becomes easy to follow and you won’t need to refer to the Scenario Cards.
Power Balls
Each over includes a special Power Ball card. The Batting player cannot attack a Power Ball Card.
Used wisely, these cards can put the Batter under pressure and create some of the game's most dramatic moments.
Win the Match
Once both players have completed their five-over innings (or all their Batters are out), the Runs are totalled and the highest score wins.
